Still a terrible story. It comes from Oregon, where a dustman found an eight-week-old cat in a bin. Was agonizing inside an armor of hardening foam but it was saved in extremis. Luckily he was still alive, barely breathing, but he managed to make some moans that aroused the attention of the garbage man.
It was difficult to get rid of that spray that had become a prison after drying. He couldn't move, he found himself glued upside down. Thanks to the garbage man, the cat was taken to Hillsboro Veterinary Clinic, where veterinarians did what they could to save him.
It took them many hours to remove the chemical. They had to remove it slowly and also cut the fur.
Imagine what could have happened if the garbage man hadn't found it. Surely he would have died crushed by the trash chopper.
Or seeing that the head was covered in foam and the legs, therefore unable to move, would have suffocated.
The Oregon police are now investigating to find the monster that managed to do this cruelty. As a clue they have fingerprints found on a can of spray foam found not far from the bin.
Thanks to the garbage man and the vets who treated him, fortunately the puppy is now better. He was transferred to the Bonnie Hays Small Animal Shelter.
The fur is also growing back well. Very soon this sad story will be just a bad memory for the sweet kitty.
People who manage to carry out certain cruelties, have serious problems and should be treated. These are atrocities that must absolutely be stopped.
