Barney: the cat from the Saint Sampson cemetery
Anonim

Barney was a beautiful cat who lived in the Saint Sampson cemetery and his mission was to alleviate the suffering of the people who went there full of sadness. Today it is no longer there, but everyone remembers it with unchanged affection.

He lives in the testimonies of those who knew him and those who loved him! And we want to remember it! Barney was a beautiful reddish cat, who had lived for many years in the cemetery of Saint Sampson, on the island of Guernsey, England and who has always distinguished himself for his unfailing love and affection.

He soon became the darling of all the people who frequented that sad place and the cat seemed to want in every way alleviate suffering of those people.

His family moved, but the cat continued to go to the cemetery. The caretaker of the cemetery Allan Curzon said that at first he was quite intrigued by this strange habit of the cat, but soon an indissoluble bond was established. And also in the name of the affection that bound the cat to the keeper, the latter built him a shelter all his own inside the cemetery.

It almost looked like Barney had a lot of mission towards people. In fact, when there was a funeral procession, Barney appeared and rubbed or snuggled at the feet of the most suffering. He adopted the same behavior for anyone who went to visit some relative, acquaintance or friend inside the cemetery.
