In this fantastic image gallery we will show you cats and boxes and the reasons why they prefer boxes: are you ready?
Do you already know why cats love boxes? The cat possesses within itself the natural instinct it gives predator. The boxes then become the cat's favorite places to be able to camouflage and not be seen by the "prey" and, at the best opportunity, snap out and grab it (by prey we mean anything that stimulates its curiosity, even a person's foot!)
The boxes certainly represent a welcoming place for our cat who perceives it as a real " lair". And like any den, it must be considered, by the cat, a place where it can be in total safety.
Yes, the box is perceived by our cat as a place where it can "hide" in moments of stress or if you feel threatened. A study, conducted by the University of Utrech, has in fact shown that especially cats from catteries, are able to acclimatise better to new house and then to the new environment if they have the opportunity to hide in a box. Over time, they then become even more likely to to interact with man.
Away from hostilities
The boxes are perceived by the cat as safe places to take refuge in situations of hostility or when they want to escape the excessive attention that we humans give them.
You may have noticed that cats are able to "settle" even in very small boxes. This seems to stem from the fact that, especially the packing boxes, they are heat-insulating. The cat therefore fits as close to the box as possible feel warm and therefore avoid a large expenditure of energy to be able to warm up.
In these five points we have explained the reasons why cats and boxes get along well! What does your cat do?
The world of the web is full of photo from kittens that make you laugh , and those who have at least one with them know perfectly well how easy it is to surprise them in poses to be immortalized and shared with their friends. Thanks to the fact that our kittens have a great desire to explore every corner of the house but do not yet know what awaits them, the results can be truly exhilarating.
There is nothing sweeter and more tender than Christmas photos of cats . Our adorable furry ones are a concentrate of soft love that literally makes us lose our minds. How to resist the shots that portray Micio in the most disparate situations:
Certainly, that of slipping into, hiding and falling asleep inside the boxes is a rather curious habit on the part of cats. In fact, they often prefer them to their very comfortable and very warm kennels. But why do cats love boxes? Behind this particular passion, there are reasons of a scientific nature.
If you have a cat at home you will surely have noticed his disproportionate love for these objects. But because cats like cardboard boxes ? If for you they are essentially containers to use in packaging, well, know that for your feline friend they are something else!
If you have adopted a nice cat all purring and cuddling, you know perfectly well that he needs some essential accessories. The bowls for baby food and water, the toys and the scratching post for the funniest moments and of course the litter box for the little ones.
