In this article we have the honor to present you a fantastic gallery of pictures about Sphynx cats. The Sphynz are a rather unconventional and still little known cat breed. But, even if it does not have the traditional soft coat of its fellows, it is and still remains a cat in all respects and must be seen as such.
Many people consider him not very adorable, others an alien only because they do not know how to go beyond the aesthetic aspect. That is, they stop at the first visual impact.
A bit of history
The first testimonials about this fabulous Sphynx cat date back to 1901, where two cats named Nellie and Dick, who lived in New Mexico, were the only two survivors of a lineage of hairless cats, due to a genetic mutation due to a recessive gene hr. Being a recessive gene it can be passed on for many generations without any visible effects. In fact, to have a "naked" cat it is necessary that two cats with the same gene mate. The cats Nellie and Dick had no children and therefore the lineage ended. Only in the 1970s did we start talking about this breed again, since in Canada there was a real breeding. It is only thanks to the work of a Dutch breeder who, in 1978, fought for the Canadian Sphynz to be recognized in the world, that this breed has survived until today.

The sphynx cat has the body entirely free of hair, with particularly evident wrinkles around the muzzle and shoulders.
The ears they are particularly large, free of hair and must be cleaned at least once a week, because, being naked, they are more prone to forming ear wax.
The legs they are very large, with particularly developed pads.
There skin it has no hair, but it produces a good amount of oily sebum. Therefore it is important that hygiene is particularly taken care of. Otherwise it gives off a bad smell!
It's a cat intelligent, lively, affectionate and for no reason wants to be left alone. They feel an integral part of the family and therefore they like to participate in all their activities!
However, it is a great deal chilly. I really like pillows, blankets and everything warmer in the world.
Of course, he loves his Latvian very much family and be able to lie down next to them. They also particularly like sleeping on their lap!
It is said of us that we are suitable for people allergic to cats, as we do not have hair. This is partly true, but don't forget that, as in all cats, the allergic reaction also comes from a protein that is found in our saliva and that is activated when we lick ourselves.
