Sapphire is a Siamese cat who has had a difficult past as a stray. She was found with a broken pelvis and eye problems. Probably the victim of a car accident, or kicked by someone with a heart of stone. Rescued was taken to the nearest shelter: the Happy Tails Farm Sanctuary, in Kingston, Ontario, run by Carla Reilly Moore and her husband. There cat was scared by humans.
Taken to the vet for the necessary treatment, they found that the cat suffered for at least two weeks, alone in the middle of the road, with all the pain.
They microchipped her, took care of her, and her life changed. Yes, because Carla and her husband have decided to adopt Sapphire.
The cat was terrified at the sight of humans. Poor puppy, who knows how much some human beings had made her suffer or perhaps it would be better to call them inhumane. Her fear of man passed after the birth of the couple's baby, Mary.
Initially he hid under the bed for days on end. Since the arrival of the child there has been an evident transformation.
Having overcome all fears, Sapphire is now at ease. She has a sense of protection for any danger to the child. Whenever a dog approaches the little girl, the cat gets agitated and when she's not there she begins to look for her all over the house.
Carla says that for them one of the greatest emotions is when they see an animal overcome the pain it has experienced. It is as if they want to give humans a second chance in their life.
We must be proud of people like Carla and her husband, who help animals in need. And they give these defenseless beings a chance to live better.
Even if in the end, it is the animals that unknowingly help boredom live better.
