We are located in Sardinia, exactly in the northern part in the province of Sassari. On the Gulf of Asinara, in the splendid Stintino. Where is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Sardinia, with shallow and crystalline waters, the Pelosa beach. Photography lovers appreciate the place, even the Tower and the cats that populate the area.
Here the cats now survive thanks to the generosity of the volunteers who take care to bring them food with a certain regularity even in the winter months.
In summer, thanks to tourists and summer residents, it is easier for cats to live, because everyone takes care of them. The problem comes in the winter months.
But now the problem seems to be solved, as New Sardinia writes, a provision has been approved that launches a campaign to contain the births of stray cats.
But the big news lies in the fact that the resolution authorizes bodies, associations and individual citizens to take care of the welfare of the cats of Stintino.
Important success of the volunteers who have been fighting for the measure since the end of summer 2018. Before, the cats of Stintino were looked after only in the summer thanks to those who own a holiday home and to tourists.
They have had no one to look after them since October. Until last year, in fact, since then the volunteers have adopted the cats, many of which have proceeded to sterilize them at their own expense.
They take care of them, feed them, protect them and think about getting them adopted. Now thanks to this resolution, the cats will be sterilized by the veterinary service of the ASL which will then set them free.
The hope for the volunteers is that the ASL will also organize a campaign for sterilization. Congratulations to the volunteers of Stintino, their hope is also ours. We take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who take care of our little furry friends.
