Yet another cruel story towards animals. This time we are told by the city of Lecce, right in our beautiful Italy. An elderly man was denounced by the carabinieri, because he was caught red-handed. Thanks to the cameras, he was seen to throw five kittens, closed in a box, in a rubbish bin.
How far human cruelty goes is to be defined. A seventy-one-year-old man put five kittens in a box and "threw them" in a garbage can.
But he misplaced his accounts. Because, thanks to surveillance cameras from a nearby shop, he was caught red-handed.
Recognized, he was promptly denounced by the carabinieri for killing and mistreating animals.
Killing because three of those puppies were recovered dead. The other two, on the other hand, were entrusted to an animal rights association, the same one that had reported the elderly man's gesture to the carabinieri.
The animal rights activists had suspicions, which fortunately, thanks to the cameras of a shop, were confirmed and were able to take action against the cruel man.
The man through the voice of his lawyer will defend himself, as it should be, but we sincerely hope that the just penalty will be imposed on him. So that he understands the mistake made.
We anxiously await that the penalties for those who mistreat and kill animals, which we remember to all, are defenseless beings, will be increased and exacerbated.
Some people's culture absolutely needs to be changed. The new generations must immediately learn to respect and love animals, as living beings and our peers.
