We find a very small one in a tiny hamlet, Ciubiz, in the province of Udine, inhabited by five people and twenty-six cats. But in Italy there is a country dedicated to cats, in Piedmont, precisely the village of Brolo.

Brolo is a small fraction of the municipality of Nonio, in the province of Verbania. The town is located on the shore of Lake Orta.

But why is Brolo called the land of cats? A mythological legend refers to when the hamlet of Brolo asked the town of Nonio to have its own independent parish.
