Almost everyone will remember the terrible fire that devastated California in November last year and more precisely the city of Paradise, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada.

The city of Paradise was founded in 1800, after a gold prospector found a 24 kg nugget in that area. In just one day this charming town was destroyed by the terrible fire.

Those who could have fled by car, others on foot carrying children and pets in their arms.

Unfortunately, like all disasters, there was no shortage of victims. But in this sad story, there is a story that has rekindled people's souls.

A cat with a gray coat managed to survive thanks to the intervention of Ryan Coleman, captain of the "Fairview Valley Fire Department" Fire Department.

Coleman was on duty to put out the devastating fire and to search for survivors. At a certain point he approached this cat, which immediately gave her noisy purr. Then, seeing that Coleman was someone who could help her, she perched on his shoulders.

The fireman reassured her with sweet words and in response she no longer descended from his shoulders and returned him with meows and purrs.

Now we don't know if the firefighter decided to adopt it. Let's hope so. However, there is no shortage of encouragement from people to get Coleman to adopt the cat. Many argue that it is a sign of fate that the cat has chosen him.

We can say with certainty, however, that the cat will never be abandoned and there will be someone, perhaps the firefighter himself, who will allow him a new start.
