The world is full of wonderful and strange museums. But did you know that in Holland, exactly in Amsterdam, there is a museum dedicated to cats. With works of art inspired by cats, from sculptures, posters, paintings and statues. The museum is called KattenKabinet. Definitely a popular destination for all cat lovers.

The museum was founded in 1990 by Bob Meijerin in memory of John Pierpont Morgan, his inseparable cat. It houses many objects that are somehow related to the world of cats.

The museum contains works of art dedicated to cats, such as sculptures, statues, paintings, posters, but also various accessories and even reproductions of coins with their effigy along with dedicated poems.

However, the museum is not only for cat lovers, you can also find works of art of the caliber of Picasso inside.

The structure where the museum is located is a luxurious seventeenth-century Baroque-style residence. It is all located on one floor, as the owner lives upstairs with his family and obviously with his five cats who also wander around the rooms.

The museum isn't that big. It comprises four rooms. Full of sculptures, statues, paintings, posters and cats in flesh and blood, wandering around the various rooms.

Or they can be admired on the sills of the large windows, at other times they can be positioned comfortably on the sofas.
