A thirteen-year story that ended with a happy ending.

This is the story of a cat named Boo who unexpectedly disappeared in 2005 in Harrogate, West York. He was four years old. His owner, Janet Adamowicz, shocked by his sudden disappearance, did not give up and began looking far and wide for him.

He hung posters everywhere, even ran an ad in a local newspaper.

But nothing of Boo had been completely lost. After a year of research, which did not lead to the desired results, Janet lost hope. Only in 2008 did she adopt a new cat, Ollie, who had three legs and later, in 2014 Tessie. He just hoped that Boo was okay and found a family in which to feel loved.

Then, thirteen years after Boo's disappearance, a sudden and unexpected phone call came. Boo was alive and waiting for her at the vet !.

Shocking news. At first Janet was somewhat disbelieving because when the vet phoned her and said she had her cat there, she couldn't believe it because both Ollie and Tessie were there with her. But it was only a moment, she realized it was her beloved Boo.

He made his way to Pocklington, East York, and traveled about 40 miles to get to the veterinary clinic where Boo was being treated. Once arrived, the veterinarian explained that he had been brought by a lady who had found him without leaving any sort of personal details.

On a first visit Boo, he was just tired and dehydrated, but otherwise he was fine. Examining him, the vet speculated that he had lived for thirteen years on the street.

Finally Janet can hug her beloved cat again. Boo for his part, seems to remember Janet, and follows her wherever she goes.
