A cat was abandoned in a shelter because the owners did not consider themselves strong enough to kill it due to the disease. After various clinical tests and adequate treatment, the cat, thanks to the tenacity of the volunteers, is now out of danger and has been adopted.
How far can the ignorance of people? A little kitten who was abandoned by its owners at the animal shelter in the city of Herne in Germany knows it well!
It may seem strange to you, but it really is! The reason? The owners feared that the little one had FIP, or the feline infectious peritonitis. Severe motorcycle disease, still being researched and unfortunately fatal. According to the owners if the kitten had FIP they should delete it and for them it was too great a sorrow to face! So for them the best solution was to entrust it to others, who would undertake the sad fate for the sick kitten.
Volunteers from the shelter "Tierheim Herne-Wanne", they agreed to take the little one, who was in particularly serious condition. But, in response to this horrible choice by the owners of the little one to abandon him in time of need, through Facebook, they published a post where they lashed out against this type of people, arguing that when you have an animal, you own it the responsibleand from the first to the last day of his life!
However, the kitten was subjected to clinical tests and luckily they found no trace of FIP. But, unfortunately, the diagnosis was that he was suffering from Giardiasis, a disease fortunately not fatal, but which creates many problems for cats!
The cat was in quite a stage advanced of the disease and therefore more difficult to eradicate, but the love and care of all the staff in the shelter allowed the little kitten to escape and slowly is making great strides!
Furthermore has found a family who adopted him and which allows him to live a happy and carefree life, despite everything he has lived!
We conclude by saying that having a cat or any other animal is a responsibility that is not limited only to happy and carefree moments, but must also and above all be present in darkest moments!
