The story of Scout is the story of a cat which literally has saved life to its owner. It is the story of a feline without which a boy would have surrendered to the tragedies of life, taking his own life as his last act.
It is the story of Josh Marino, a guy who has dedicated his whole life to the army, fighting faithfully in honor of that uniform worn.
But, as we know, war is not easy, neither before, nor during nor after. And Josh experienced it firsthand.
Returning from one mission very tiring, the soldier it has never been the same. The war had left deep wounds in him, both physical and mental.
Josh thought he could no longer live taking with him everything he had seen, everything he had experienced. He couldn't sleep at night without hearing a shot, without thinking about all the victims he had seen with his own eyes.
Nobody, not even his family or closest friends, seemed to be able to understand him. It's over, they told him, now you can go back to life.
But Josh, sadly, couldn't get back to life. Those memories were so alive in him that he knew he could no longer be happy, that he could not go on like that.
And so, he made his final decision: he had to get it over with. He smoked his last cigarette and suddenly heard a meow come from behind a bush.
A moment later, a cat completely black approached him and began to rub on his legs. It was at that moment that Josh realized he didn't have to give up, that this cat was nothing more than a sign of destiny.
Josh immediately adopted that cat and decided to call him Scout. Since that day, his life has changed completely. Together with the help of experts for the war veterans, the boy has gone a long way to get back to living happy as much as possible. And he will, of course, along with his cat Scout.
