Today we tell you the story of Except, the cat who owes his life to the generosity of a family with a truly golden heart.
For once, we are not here to tell you about felines victims of human malice. For once, however, we are talking about cats that are alive thanks to human generosity, thanks to the infinite hearts of some of us.
In fact, Salvo's story is not the story of an abused or abandoned cat. It is the story of a cat who, because of his curiosity, has seriously endangered his own life.
We are a Montecchio Vesponi, a fraction of the municipality of Castiglion Fiorentino in which less than a thousand souls live. In addition to Salvo, the protagonists of this story are the members of the Frappi family: Silvana, Mario and their son Francesco.
The story begins when Mario hears gods meows come from a house wall. They are persistent meows, even if very faint. In an instant, everyone understands the situation.
After the first investigations, the unfortunate truth comes out. Two newborn kittens have slipped into a pipe in the home of the Frappi family. And, unfortunately, they got stuck there.
A few meters from the tube, the mother of the cubs with their siblings observes the scene. He knows his children are in there, but he doesn't know how to help them.
Immediately, Mario Frappi calls i Fire fighters. He knows that those puppies of a few weeks will not be able to last very long inside that tube, without food or water.
Saving the first puppy was a breeze. The fire brigade managed, in fact, to pull the first of the two cats out of the tube using a rope.
For the other puppy, the cat who will later be called Salvo, instead, the rescue operations they weren't that simple.
The cat, in fact, was very far from the entrance to the tube and it was impossible to pull it out with the same rope used for the other feline.
While the hopes of rescue among the Fire Brigade were getting lower and lower, the Frappi family did not lose heart. Saving the cat Salvo had almost become one life mission.
And so, thanks to a camera and the sacrifice of the family, Salvo survived. By inserting a camera inside the tube, the Fire Brigade was able to record its accuracy in detail position.
At that point, using a jackhammer, they broke through a piece of the floor of the Frappi family home, right above the puppy's location.
The cat Salvo was thus recovered and adopted by the family. A family with a truly golden heart, which did not linger in breaking the floor of their home to save a cat in distress.
