Pixel has received the proposal of the Guinness World Records to enter the annals of records, as a record holder of the lowest cat in the world.
Pixel is a cat who is vying to become the next big cat world low, title awarded by Guinness World Records. A primacy that a few years ago belonged to his mother, the cat Fizz Girl, that through the careful measurements of the judges, it turned out be 15.24 cm tall.

Pixel and the cat Fizz Girl, are not affected by any particular syndrome that does not allow her to grow, but rather belong to the little known race of the Munchkins. Also referred to as dachshund cat, is a breed that comes from the United States and we have evidence of it starting from 1944. However, it was only in the 1980s that it was decided to start the selection.

Selection that started from a breeder she found in the streets of Louisiana a pregnant cat which featured some much shorter legs than the average. When the puppies were born, it is known that about half had the typical characteristics of the mother and therefore also the short legs. From some specimens then that mated with the domestic cats, the breeder and a friend of hers, gave birth to what is now called the Munchkin breed.

Currently, however, being a recently created breed and therefore little known, there is not much news about pathologies that can be found in cats belonging to this type. TICA and breeders claim that the Munchkin does not suffer from pathologies related to the characteristic of the legs, but rather that it is equipped with a agility out of the ordinary.

Returning to the Pixel cat, we know that its owner, Tiffani Kjeldergaad stated that she is tall 12, 7 cm and she is a really naughty, agile and sweet kitten. She is also the owner of the same Fizz Girl, in that she is a breeder of this particular breed. Used to having a lot of them around the house, she recommends adopting some due precautions, such as walking slowly and looking where you put your feet to avoid accidentally stepping on them, or, before closing the refrigerator, check to see if there is a little too curious kitten inside.

It also claims that this breed it has not been manipulated by man, that is, it was not created through various crosses, but it is simply a purely genetic feature. From Guinness or not Pixel remains a really cute kitten that conquers you at first glance!
