Inky is a cat without eyelids of the eyes due to a severe malformation. Found when he was still a kitten by Hannah Erbe who then decided to adopt him, he made friends with the house dog. The two have become inseparable and help each other.
We want to tell you a beautiful story of friendship between a cat and a dog. First of all we present you Inky, a nice black cat with a particularity! He is suffering from feline eyelid agenesis, an anomaly that leads to the total absence of eyelids upper of the eye.
He was found, when he was still a kitten from Hannah Erbe, near the facility where she used to attend an art course. When he saw him he was very thin and could not make out the eyes for what they were dirtythe.
He immediately took him to the vet, who found he was about three weeks old and could consider himself lucky to still be alive. He explained to Hannah Erbe that the kitten was suffering from this malformation which causes the non-formation of the eyelids and that because of this it was necessary to keep the eyes always clean.
Once all the dirt around his eyes was removed, the kitten seemed surprised to see the world around him.
However, Inky's clinical picture was not the best, as he was unable to Close eyes and above all the hairs that surrounded the eye bothered him a lot.
It was necessary to proceed with a suitable therapy called "cryotherapy" aimed at permanently eliminating the hairs they caused unease to the little one and that he would have allowed his own eyes to see better.
Before proceeding with the operation the kitten needed to recover and Hannah Erbe took him home with her.
Hannah had and has a big dog, also foundling, named Jasper. At first Inky was somewhat wary of Jasper, but then the two became inseparable.
After Inky underwent the operation, he returned home and Jasper was waiting for him. Throughout the period of the convalescence, the big dog watched over Inky almost as if to protect him.
Now Inky, albeit still needs care, he has improved a lot and not a day goes by that he snuggles up or goes exploring supported by the big dog Jasper.
