Today we want to tell you the story of Simba, a kitten with a not particularly happy beginning of life that is now finally ready to redeem himself.
We know very well, unfortunately, how much the life of the Stray cats can be difficult. Felines abandoned on the street as soon as they are born that, when they are just a few days old, find themselves having to deal with the hard survival.
And the story of the kitten Simba is a prime example. Because this feline owes its life to the golden heart of a woman who has decided to take care of him. Of a woman who has decided to believe in her survival.
Why when Simba arrived at the shelter of which Carmen deals, no one believed in its survival. The cat was in very bad shape and it seemed almost pointless to waste time and money on treating him.
Simba couldn't open his eyes, had mange and could barely stand up. He was obviously undernourished, dehydrated, and there doesn't seem to be much hope for his survival.
But Carmen knew that the hope must always be the last to die. Sure, in his refuge, the Animal Friends Project of Delray Beach, in Florida, probably would not have made it.
And so Carmen decided to take that kitten with her, to take Simba to her house and to take care of him in the best possible way.
Thanks to the care of veterinarian and to his constant attention, Simba began his slow path of healing.
He opened his eyes and the mange parasites slowly disappeared. Looking at Simba's photos now, we can hardly believe it's the same cat.
Because today she looks like a healthy cat, beautiful and ready to start her new happy life.
It took 6 months and the hard commitment of a woman who deserves the admiration of each of us, but today Simba is ready to be adopted by a family that is able to finally make him happy.
