Today we want to tell you the beautiful story of a cat named Adele and a dog named Chip.
Our hope is that you have now overcome the prejudice that cats and dogs cannot be friends.
Because now there are more and more stories of friendships between these two different species that we tell you about. Like the story of Stitch, the abused cat who found happiness thanks to friendship with a dog.
And the story of the cat Adele and the dog Chip is a similar story. Because even if we are talking about two animals of different species, we are talking about two animals with a common destiny.
The usual bad fate that accompanies the beginnings of life of many of the protagonists of our stories: abandonment.
Little is known about the first part of the life of these two animals. Except that both were found by volunteers from the Operation Kindness association, a shelter that deals with stray animals in Dallas, in Texas.
They joined this refuge practically at the same time. And, together, they faced the first very hard days of their new life.
And perhaps, it was thanks to the presence of one for the other that they managed to overcome the suffering that loneliness can bring.
During the first days at the shelter they slept together, ate together, played together. In short, they have become each other's shadow.
And precisely for this reason the volunteers of the shelter decided that these two special friends had to be adopted together.
Their bond was too important now to be dissolved. And, fortunately, it did.
Very soon the cat Adele and the dog Chip found a family eager to take care of both of them.
Today our two four-legged friends are living their second happy life. They are part of the family of Tom And Kim and they are also popular on the web. Their Facebook page, Chip & Adele, in fact, has more than 120 thousand likes.
