The Blue Point Siamese is genetically linked to Seal Point, being one "diluted" version or, in other words, lighter than the darker brown-black seal. Let's see them features together with a beautiful roundup of photographs.

The body color of the cat is predominantly bluish white. This is a cold color which gradually darkens towards the stomach and chest. It also fades to blue on the back.

The Blue Point coloring is toned and gray. Their points (faces, ears, tail, paws, nose skin and paw pads) are intense slate gray-blue color, with bluish-white fur, with cold tones. Occasionally, you may find blue spots with lighter silver-blue spots rather than slate-gray.

However, like seal points, a blue dot Siamese's coat (like that of a seal point) it will tend to darken gradually with age, as the cat ages.

Originally the breed associations they accepted only the seal point as coloring, all others were considered inferior. The blue dot was the first of these alternative colors to gain official acceptance in 1934.

However, as their bodies can get quite dark in a relatively short period of time, Blue Points also tend to have short careers c like show cats. It is rare, in fact, to see a feline of this breed older than two years in a show.

Blue Point Siamese are said to be calmer than their seal point counterparts, but they sure have some crazy moments too.
