If it is true that every day we tell you stories of people who mistreat cats, abandon them or even worse kill them, it is also true that there are people who invest time and money to help them.
And the wonderful initiative that comes directly from Savona is a clear example of this. It is called "Feed your mind and feed a cat" and has precisely the aim of helping less fortunate felines, that is strays.
How does it work? Simple! People will be able to buy a book and the proceeds will be used to finance the stray cats that are part of the colonies of felines of the city.
This wonderful initiative is based at the Enpa located in Viale Cavour 48 in Savona. From Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 12pm and 5pm and 7pm, people will be able to buy lots of books.
All the books on sale come from the inheritance of the association of Albisola Superiore Caterina Gambetta, a woman who has cared for stray cats all her life.
Died last year, she probably would have been happy to know that her legacy has given rise to such an important project with such a noble purpose.
Part of the books were donated to the city's school library. All the books that are left, however, are on sale at the "Feed your mind and feed a cat".
People will be able to buy books with an offer of their choice that starts at one or two euros, depending on the volume chosen.
The proceeds, as mentioned, will be entirely donated to the associations that deal with stray cat colonies.
Another wonderful initiative in favor of our less fortunate four-legged friends. The hope is that projects like these can become an example for many other similar initiatives!
