Today we want to tell you the story of Szyszka cat, a story that, as too often happens, does not do us human beings credit.
Because too often we tell you stories of felines being mistreated or worse still killed by humans, even if physical violence is not the only fault we are guilty of.
There is obviously also violence psychological, demonstrated by the many abandoned cats that from one day to the next find themselves having to deal with life from strays.
And Szyszka's story is a story of psychological violence. A story that, once again, demonstrates when the human being is sometimes almost devoid of a heart.
Or, even worse, how much the adoption of a petbe it cat or dog, is taken very lightly.
Choosing to adopt a cat or a dog must always be a conscious decision. The risk is in fact that at the first difficulty we decide to abandon our pet.
As happened to little Szyszka. What seemed to her the beginning of a dream has turned into yet another disappointment.
Because Szyszka had finally found a family. After a long time spent waiting for that request for adoption that never seemed to arrive, her dream had come true.
Someone had decided to take care of her, taking her away from that cold and sad shelter.
And so the kitten had reached her new home, ready to begin her happy life. But you know, changes can be very traumatic for our four-legged friends.
A new home, new people to meet and new habits. All these changes have led Szyszka to live with some unease his new life.
And so, just 4 days after its adoption, its new owners knocked on the door of the shelter again.
Szyszka was in a carrier, still very upset. Its owners then told the shelter volunteers that they had changed their minds, that they no longer wanted that cat.
The reason? He had peed on their bed. And so, for a very small mistake dictated by the discomfort that a change causes in a cat, Szyszka found herself back in the shelter.
Now i volunteers have launched a new appeal for her. Now more than ever she needs to find someone who really wants to love her. Among other things, there are many reasons why a cat pees in bed.
