AND Duo the name of kitten protagonist of this story, a very special feline.

Unfortunately, fate did not reserve great gifts for the cat protagonist of this story. A feline that is four months old but no one knows if it will really survive.

Our four-legged friend was in fact born with a strange one malformation. Duo, in fact, is a kitten that literally has two faces.

The cat was born with two mouths, two noses and three and a half eyes. As soon as he came into the world, his mother rejected him.

Not knowing what to do, her owners called their vet, the Doctor Ralph Tran.

Since the little feline was in need of medical assistance around the clock, the woman decided to take him home with her and let him live with her eight other cats.

Ralph stated that the first time he saw Duo he thought it was a case of Siamese twins. Yet it is not so.

Our four-legged friend has only one body, but his face is doubled. It has four legs, a tail but, as mentioned, it has two mouths, two noses and even three and a half eyes.

And everything works perfectly. Duo suffers from a very rare malformation called diprosopia, or a rare craniofacial duplication.

It is not the first cat to suffer from it but, unfortunately, there are no good testimonies of past experiences.

All the felines that suffered from this malformation did not survive much. The only exception is the cat Frank and Louie, a feline that has lived a full 15 years with its double face.

Ralph can't say how long Kitty Duo will survive. To date he is certainly gaining weight and this will allow him to undergo the necessary surgical interventions.

At the same time, however, it is very difficult for him to learn to live. Just to give an example, he can't eat from the bowl, undecided about which of the two mouths to use.

The hope, however, is that he will soon be able to make a life like all other cats. We know well, deep down, that our four-legged friends never give up. As evidenced by the story of Arlo, the "different" kitten who began to be happy.
