Is called Edna the cat protagonist of today's history and is one of the many feline workers we often talk to you about.
It is not the first time, in fact, that we have told you stories of cats who have a real job.
Like the story of Bobo, the working cat who attracts customers to his shop or the story of Charlie, the cat who works with his owner.
And Edna is also a cat with a profession. For 5 years, in fact, this special four-legged friend did the fireman.
Obviously not in the true sense of the word, but his home for all these years has been a real barracks of Fire fighters.
We are a San Francisco and the barracks in question is the Fire Station 49. 5 years ago, this special feline made its first appearance inside the barracks.
All the firefighters immediately fell in love with her. Having a quadruped in such a stressful job seemed like a good idea to everyone.
And so the firefighters adopted that cat, calling it Edna. Since then our four-legged friend has lived inside the barracks, surrounded by heroes.
He gave them a little happiness, letting himself be caressed and pampered during the few breaks available.
Unfortunately, this idyll had to be interrupted. In fact, an anonymous complaint took care of everything.
The complaint was directed against the presence of the feline in places where medical supplies, equipment and pharmaceutical products are present and therefore where perfect sterility and hygiene are required.
And so Edna had to leave her home. The many appeals of the firefighters were worth nothing, that cat in the barracks just could not stay there.
Luckily Edna didn't have to go to a dreary refuge anyway. One of the firemen thought about adopting her, giving her a happy family life. And so Edna had to hang up her uniform but now she can enjoy a well-deserved rest surrounded by comfort and love.

The story we want to tell today comes from Latina. Here the fire brigade rescued a very sweet kitten after having recovered it from the engine compartment of a car. After his rescue one of them decided to adopt Smartina , so called the pelosetta in homage to the place where it was found.
