Is called Chamade the unfortunate cat protagonist of this story. The story of this feline is one of many that show us how all too often people decide to take pets just for the fun of it.

Without thinking that a cat or a dog they require constant commitment, responsibility and time that not everyone can have.

And so more and more pets find themselves living in extreme conditions, left on their own and completely invisible to the eyes of those who had promised to love and care for them.

And the story of Chamade is precisely the story of a neglected cat. Because when this feline arrived at the shelter, the volunteers couldn't believe their eyes.

And of absurd and terrible things, the volunteers of the animal shelters have seen many. Our four-legged friend was covered with dreadlocks.

You know the classic hairstyle made up of knots in the hair? Chamade had it in his fur and in particular in his back, that is, in the places where he could not lick himself.

Its complete state abandonment it was therefore visible. For years that cat had been left to fend for itself and terribly neglected.

When Chamade arrived at Le Radeau Des Animaux, an animal shelter located in Ferel, a French region of the Brittany, his condition was terrible.

Our four-legged friend was strongly obese and his coat so neglected that it has formed more than a pound of dreadlocks on his back.

A kilo of hair tangled in knots which therefore weighed on his back, causing him considerable health problems.

The volunteers of the shelter worked very hard to fix our four-legged friend.

After a long and careful work, all the dreadlocks have disappeared from Chamade's back, giving him a normal look again.

And the good news didn't end there. Because in a very short time, our four-legged friend also received his first application for adoption. Today Chamade lives in his new home, finally loved and happy.
