She went out into the garden to call him, but there was no trace of her cat. And so the searches began, made up of many stops in the woods near their home and many leaflets scattered around the city.
But unfortunately no one knew anything about his four-legged friend. And after 536 days, when Mindy's hopes were nearly exhausted, she got that long-awaited call.
On the other end of the phone, someone informed her that they were in front of her cat. Mindy found that for over a year a man took care of her cat, believing it to be a stray cat.
Cat lived on the street, but every day she stopped by her new human friend's house to get a nice supply of food.
But one day Cat was hit and the man took him to the vet. Here the doctor realized that that cat had a microchip and therefore also an owner.
And so, after 536 days, Mindy and Luke were able to hug and bring home their special four-legged friend.
