Is called Hero the cat protagonist of today's story and already his name should make us understand why we decided to tell you his story.

By now, we know a lot of hero cats. From Sandy, the hero cat who saved her owner's life to Kitty, the cat who saved her owner from a fire.

And Hero too, in his own way, is a hero. Even if unfortunately this story hides a bitter ending, the gesture of our four-legged friend certainly deserves a mention among our stories.

The story of the Hero cat comes from Enpa Monza Brianza, a non-profit organization on the side of the most unfortunate animals.

Hero lived in the cattery of Monza. He was looking for an adoption application, yet no one seemed to fall in love with this gorgeous red feline.

His fate changed when another four-legged friend entered his life. Let's talk about Mitty, a kitten who lived happily with her family in Villasanta (MB) since May 2018.

Unfortunately, her fate changed drastically due to FIV, the feline immunodeficiency virus from which Mitty was affected.

In order to survive, this beautiful kitten needed a blood donation. And here our hero, the cat Hero, came into play.

This beautiful brindle feline was in fact compatible with the kitten Mitty and also negative for the FIV test.

After the donation, Mitty seemed to have hope of survival. Unfortunately, however, after a period of false hope, the kitten had a relapse and within a short time she died.

A great pain remained in his family who decided to try to fill that gap by giving a little love to the one who had tried to save Mitty's life, Hero.

And so Mitty's family decided to adopt Hero. Our four-legged friend, therefore, found a family thanks to his heroic deed.

A story therefore that conceals a bitter ending with a very small consolation. Unfortunately Mitty is no longer there, but his hero is finally happy today.
