Apollo, the one-eyed cat who has found happiness

Today we want to tell you the particular story of Apollo, a cat who has suffered on his own skin the indifference and discrimination of which only we humans are capable.

The story of Apollo is not the classic story of an abused cat or a victim of violence. Because this cat has been happy for most of its life.

He lived in a comfortable and loving home, in the company of his owner who really loved him very much.

Unfortunately, however, her best human friend had some health problems due to age and had to move to a retirement home.

And so Apollo found himself overnight at the mercy of himself. Accustomed to his good family life, he had to deal with being moved to a shelter from one moment to the next.

And so instead of the love and affection of a home and a family, the solitude and cold of the refuge arrived.

A condition that was further aggravated when Apollo had to deal with a bad one infection. An infection which, fortunately, was cured but which caused the loss of an eye for our four-legged friend.

And so the condition of Apollo became more and more dramatic day by day. Alone and left to himself and also without an eye.

Fortunately, there was with him Nancy Hutchinson, a volunteer from the shelter who took her story to heart.

Nancy really tried everything to get him adopted, but no one seemed interested in this beautiful four-legged friend.

People called him "ugly" and didn't want to adopt a cat without one eye. As if everything could be reduced to a different aspect from the "normal".

Nancy was about to lose hope when she met Denise, a woman who as soon as she knew the story of Apollo had decided to do something.

Denise fell in love at first sight with this special feline. He adopted it in a short time, allowing him to rediscover that happiness that seemed now lost. A story very similar to that of Cricket, the one-eyed cat who is now finally happy.
