You usually read stories of cats abandoned, abused or worse still killed by those who had promised to take care of them.

The story of today, even if it is not a beautiful story for the protagonist, is not a story of mistreatment.
Because even if the cat Hidey risked his life due to the negligence of his owner, at the basis of the latter's gesture there is a more than "justifiable" explanation.
The known story of the cat Hidey begins not so long ago. They are the volunteers of the facility of the Animal Rescue League Shelter & Wildlife Center the first to realize his situation.
Hidey lives with his owner, a very old and lonely woman who has her only company in her four-legged friend.
Following the complaint by anonymous people, the volunteers of the facility go to pay a visit to the elderly woman.
Once they arrive at his home they realize the terrible conditions in which Hidey finds himself.
Our four-legged friend, in fact, is completely stuck in his fur. The hair has grown out of control and has now become an infinite set of dreadlocks that have imprisoned it.
How could this have happened? How was it possible that the woman had not noticed the condition of her four-legged friend?
Unfortunately, the explanation came shortly after. Hidey's owner suffered from Alzheimer's and she was completely left to herself.
And so the volunteers from the Animal Rescue League Shelter & Wildlife Center took Hidey into foster care and looked after him.
With a very long and precise work they managed to cut his fur and today Hidey the cat is better. Unfortunately, however, she will not be able to return to her best human friend, who is no longer able to take care of an animal.
