He sneaks inside a zoo in St. Petersburg, Russia for the first time, sees it and it's love at first sight. In fact, one kitten befriends a lynx, resulting in a truly exceptional relationship that lasted for 12 long years.

The beginning of a special relationship

The trigger, as often happens, is food: the kitten makes friends with a lynx, yes, but decides to go every day at the biopark because he understands that it is a sure source of sustenance. When we say: "Combine useful with pleasure".

Both the cat and the lynx have only a few months of life, at the time, in 2007, and they are not at all bothered by each other's presence, on the contrary: they immediately become good friends. A special relationship like that of the two cats who act as bodyguards to a blind raccoon.

The adoption of Dusya

The employees of the zoo, moved by this story, decide to adopt the little cat and to call her Dusya. The two had more or less the same size, but that detail changed within a few months.

At first they let them play together, but without ever losing sight of them and always ready to intervene. Only after they were sure there were no dangers did they let them live together all day.

A scientific proof

The aim, on the part of the zoo managers, in fact, was to put comparing the different behaviors of the two felines. Coexistence allowed the lynx's living conditions to improve, having the rare opportunity to interact with other animals.

They have always shown themselves to behave both as domestic cats, even pampering each other. The only precaution towards Dusya, who ran no other risks, was to place the bowl with the food at a safe distance from her friend lynx, given its size.

12 years of friendship

For more than a decade, the two felines have lived in close contact. The undisputed leader, despite her size, however, has always been the domestic cat.

Unfortunately, at the beginning of 2020, the staff of the biopark had to spread the news of the death of Dusya. She left an insurmountable void in all those who got to know her, especially in her companion in adventure lynx.
