The adaptability of animals is always surprising, far more developed than ours. This is the case of Lani, la kitten who thinks she is a bunny. An adorable kitten that jumps on its hind legs to move.

Her condition hides a malformation, but for her it doesn't seem to be a problem at all: she plays and has fun like any other feline.

The deformation experienced with normality

The kitten who believes herself to be a bunny has a deformation in her front legs that does not allow her to walk like her peers: the radial hypoplasia. No problem, however, she has found a way to experience normality: she jumps to get around.

Lives in San Francisco and was brought to Saving Grace Rescue Inc, so she doesn't have to live on the street with her mom and the rest of the litter. She was the youngest and, ever since she was born, her difficulty has been to walk; but she never gave up and won over all the volunteers of the refuge.

Strength and vitality in a wren

Lani immediately gave demonstration of all its vitality, despite the serious paw problem: he played with all the cats in the cattery and "jumped and ran from side to side like any puppy".

It didn't take long for him to meet one human mom and dadwilling to take care of her as she deserves. But she made people who love her worry a lot: at seven weeks, in fact, she weighed only 400 grams and did not seem to grow.

Little by little, however, Lani got better, getting stronger and giving her new family immense joy. She is now nearly three years old, she is hyperactiveand it is perfect as it is. Monty would also agree, the kitten with a genetic alteration that fights for the inclusion of all animals.
